Half of American adults' cholesterol exceeds safe levels!
Are you currently taking a potentially dangerous statin drug to lower your cholesterol?
|
Did your doctor recommend fiber AND plant sterols BEFORE drugs?
If not, read on!
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidelines for treating high cholesterol state that doctors should treat with plant sterols for 6 months BEFORE prescribing statins!
Don't blame your doctor for not trying. The options have been poor. Superior Blend Fiber is the FIRST all-natural fiber product to contain an effective dose of plant sterols.
Countless studies, clinical trials and research have shown that fiber combined with plant sterols can lower cholesterol. |
-
Two important Harvard studies (total 60,000 subjects) demonstrated that an increase in dietary fiber of 30 grams or more per day decreases MI (myocardial infarction), or sudden heart attack, and the risk of heart disease by as much as 50 percent!
-
In addition, combining plant sterols with soluble fiber can further lower cholesterol, cardiac risk, atherosclerosis, and cardiovascular disease!
|
Unfortunately, if you're like most Americans, you're only getting about one-third of the fiber your body needs each day and little to no plant sterols.
According to medical science, diets low in fiber have the same risk for developing heart disease as cigarette smoking!
That's not good!
While there are a number of ways to improve your heart health, the easiest and safest way to naturally improve your cardiovascular health is through fiber supplementation. And what could be better than a delicious tasting fiber plus plant sterols. |
|
"Over half the US adult population suffers from elevated cholesterol. As a doctor, I know that all of these people should be treated with plant sterols before even considering statin medications. Waiora's Superior Blend Fiber is the first fiber to contain plant sterols."

Why Dietary Fiber?
The inclusion of fiber in the diet has many nutritional benefits, all of which support a healthy lifestyle. It is an extremely important component of the diet because of the major role it plays in contributing to stomach and intestinal health, which is considered to be the foundation of health and wellness.
Contrary to popular belief, fiber does much more than simply maintain healthy regularity. It has a multitude of nutritional benefits essential to a healthy lifestyle. Fiber aids in the maximum absorption of minerals and vitamins, promotes proper insulin function, strengthens immune system, maintains healthy cholesterol levels, helps to control body weight, reduces appetite, and keeps the digestive tract clear.
High intake of dietary fiber has been linked to a lower risk of heart disease in a number of large studies that followed people for many years. Researchers found in two separate Harvard studies of more than 60,000 adults, that a daily high total dietary fiber intake lowered coronary risks by as much as 50% compared to diets low in fiber.
Another study, conducted by researchers at the Tulane University of Medicine, published in the Journal of Hypertension, concluded that people who ate up to 19 grams of fiber a day experienced a reduction in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
|
How Much & What Kind of Fiber do I Need?

The American Heart Association and the American Dietetic Association recommends that a healthy diet includes 25 - 35 g of fiber (soluble and insoluble) each day. In fact, the Food & Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) increased the target amount of fiber in the daily diet to 25 g for women and 38 g for men, significantly higher than the 10-15 gram daily average of most Americans.
But, it's not enough to simply consume fiber. The key, much like in the case of fruits and vegetables, is to consume a variety. Different fibers support healthy function in different ways - from cardiovascular health to digestive and immune health. Superior Blend Fiber delivers a superior matrix of ingredients and fibers-including guar gum, oat fiber, arabinogalactan, carrot fiber, fibersol, inulin, sugar cane fiber, citrus pectin and plant sterols--and a mix of the important antioxidants C and E. The result is a delicious, easy-to-use drink mix that delivers a variety of healthy fibers.
The fiber from these nutritious food sources can be categorized as soluble or insoluble. Soluble fiber (which dissolves in water) helps prolong stomach emptying time, and in the process, the sugar in food is released and absorbed more slowly, contributing to the lowering of blood cholesterol and glucose levels. Since soluble fiber also passes into the bloodstream there are also direct metabolic effects on blood pressure, blood glucose, and inflammation, which can be measured by changes in CRP (C-reactive protein). Insoluble fiber is important in normal bowel function and colon health. A combination of the two ensures your digestive system and cardiovascular system function at their highest levels.

Plant Sterols

Did you know the government's cholesterol treatment guidelines clearly state that before your doctor prescribes statin drugs, they are to first increase your intake of fiber and add plant sterols to your diet for 6 months? For many people, this will be enough to improve their lipid profile and eliminate the need for pharmaceutical intervention.
Plant Sterols (also called phytosterols) are widely found in the plant kingdom and are chemically similar to cholesterol. Good sources of plant sterols are the pure oils of amaranth, argan, avocado, extra virgin olive, macadamia, and the bran of rice. According to the International Food Information Council (IFIC), the cholesterol lowering potential of plant stanols and sterols has been known for over 50 years. The challenge, until recently, was to provide enough plant sterols to have significant cholesterol-lowering effects*. In the ester form, and in the appropriate quantities, plant sterols/stanols inhibit the absorption of cholesterol in the small intestine by up to 50 percent, which in turn can lower cholesterol by up to 14 percent. Up until now, getting enough of these sterol esters in an affordable, edible form did not seem possible. ‘Superior Blend Fiber’ utilizes modern nutritional technology to provide sufficient levels of cholesterol-reducing plant sterols (650 mg each serving) as part of its effective multiple-approach formula.
Phytosterols appear to inhibit the absorption of dietary cholesterol and the reabsorption (via the enterohepatic circulation) of endogenous cholesterol from the gastrointestinal tract. Consequently, the excretion of cholesterol in the feces leads to decreased serum levels. Phytosterols do not appear to affect the absorption of bile acids. It is believed that phytosterols displace cholesterol from bile salt micelles. Another proposed mechanism is the possible inhibition of the rate of cholesterol esterification in the intestinal mucosa.

With the rate of cardiovascular disease reaching epidemic proportions - affecting more than 100 million Americans - and the safety of statin and other anti-cholesterol drugs called into question, millions are seeking natural alternatives for improving their heart health. |
"My personal challenge has been my cholesterol. With a previous viscous fiber that I took, two measure twice a day, my cholesterol was pretty stable at 182. After two month of Superior Blend Fiber, just one measure twice a day, the HDL (good cholesterol) increased and the LDL (bad cholesterol) went down for a total 45 percent reduction."†

"Only results matter, and as a matter of fact, my choles-terol was reduced from 205 to 147 in only 6 months. Based on these results, I would recommend Waiora's Superior Blend Fiber to all who have concerns about their cholesterol level. This fiber should be the "first step" in lowering cholesterol levels before taking dangerous prescription medications."†

| According to the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, the benefits of dietary fiber cannot be overemphasized. Many of the diseases of public health significance - obesity, cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes - as well as the less prevalent, but no less significant diseases of chronic diverticulosis, colitis, cramping and constipation can be prevented or treated by increased amounts and varieties of fiber, both soluble and insoluble. |

No other company or health food store can offer Superior Blend Fiber |
Why is Waiora Fiber such an important product?
Remember...
-
Studies conducted by the National Institutes of Health, reported in the highly respected American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, demonstrate a combination of healthy diet, exercise, fiber and plant sterols can be just as effective as statin drugs in lowering cholesterol levels!
-
High cholesterol has been linked to coronary heart disease and stroke. This is caused by blood vessels becoming narrowed with fatty deposits, called plaques. Excess circulatory cholesterol grows these plaques. The narrowed blood vessels reduce blood flow to the heart. If the vessel becomes completely blocked, or breaks away, a heart attack can result.

Cereal? NOT a good source of soluble fiber
If you think you're getting much of the fiber you need from your "fiber-rich" breakfast cereals, think again! A recent article in the "Chicago Tribune" pointed out that in addition to scarce amounts of fiber, many of the popular brands of cereal (including Kellogg's and General Mills) contain large amounts of sugar and calories. So while you may be adding a little fiber to your diet -- you're also adding sugar, preservatives and extra calories. Cheerios cereal is a good example. Nearly every current Cheerios ad touts the heart-healthy benefits of soluble fiber. In the fine print on the side of the box it can be seen that Cheerios contains less than 1 gram of soluble fiber per bowl (serving). If you plan to make cereal an important part of your daily fiber sources, plan on spending a lot of money, and gaining a lot of weight, to reach your daily goal of 25-35 grams.
Do yourself, your arteries, and your heart a favor and read the nutrition fact box on your cereal before you put it in your cart. Better yet, skip the cereal and add a delicious glass of Waiora's Superior Blend Fiber to whatever you may be having for breakfast. This nutritious drink mix is SUGAR-FREE and FAT-FREE, and each SERVING contains 5 grams of fiber, as well as an efficacious dose of plant sterols--recognized by the FDA for their cholesterol-lowering and cardiovascular risk-reducing potential.
Lower your cardiovascular risk, protect your colon, stabilize your glucose levels and eliminate constipation through a delicious fiber drink that includes BOTH soluble and insoluble fiber, plant sterols, inulin, arabinogalactan, pectins, and the antioxidants C and E. And it's easy-to-mix and tastes great!

"A few years ago I discovered my cholesterol was too high and was recommended a statin drug. In an interesting coincidence, I was actually a salesman for the very same prescription drug that was recommended at the time. Because of my in-depth knowledge of the drug,
I knew I didn't want to take it or any other statin. I also could not afford to have anything about a statin on my medical records. That little bit of information can cause rejection of life insurance, denial of new health coverage, or even a job.
I decided right then and there to give the natural approach a try. I dropped my cholesterol 60 points in one month using a multi-fiber drink brought to market by some of the same people who started Waiora. This placed my levels well within normal range. Later, after finding out about the significance of plant sterols,
I dropped my cholesterol another 20 points with the addition of 1,600mg of plant sterols/stanols daily. There is no other product even close to Waiora's Superior Blend Fiber, yet it is priced less than products of inferior quality."†
